Account Manager, Autodesk Education Named Accounts

If so, we want to hear from you.<br><br>Report to the Senior Manager of Named Accounts who is overseeing the strategy of the portfolio, this role is responsible for regular customer engagement and coordination on the account level. You will develop and manage effective working relationships with Department Chairs, educators and administrators within the assigned accounts. These relationships will serve to build trusted partner status in education networks and communities and help make our solutions visible to decision makers. You will also be leading key initiatives within the portfolio to contribute to team success which will require you to be highly organized and collaborative.<br><br>Together with other roles on the account team, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of technology solutions in the classroom across the industries Autodesk provides solutions for, ensuring that students are equipped with the requisite skills to succeed in industry today and for jobs of the future. We work in a hybrid work environment.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Maintain and manage regular customer engagement and coordination</li><li>Demonstrate ability to earn customer respect as a trusted advisor and thought leader</li><li>Pilot experiments and help inform the team of the learning</li><li>Lead initiatives that could be applied to all accounts to drive strong and effective customer engagement </li><li>Support overall Education team efforts in the development and delivery of special events, training and on-campus activities, involving Autodesk Learning Partners</li><li>Coordinate and contribute to customer QBRs</li><li>Contribute to business reviews with internal sponsors</li><li>Properly document and route customer requests and ensure all requests are properly managed</li><li>Work with Named Accounts team, extended Education teams, and cross-functional teams and divisions to contribute to collaborative team success</li><li>Initiate and maintain collaborative relationships with key education partners and professional organizations</li><li>Leverage team technical expertise and partners in appropriate software workflows<br><br></li></ul><strong>Minimum Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Engineering, Business or related field</li><li>Knowledge of 3D Design software: Autodesk Fusion and/or Inventor, SolidWorks or other competitive products</li><li>Understanding of the US post-secondary education system</li><li>Proven ability to develop strategic relationships with education customers and industry partners</li><li>Confident at presenting and discussing industry workflows and practices as well as their application in the academic environment</li><li>Proven ability to influence others and drive results in a highly matrix organization with a collaborative approach</li><li>Ability to build rapport with a wide variety of internal and external constituents</li><li>Ability to use multiple presentation tools and techniques, adapting/fitting them to audience and topic</li><li>Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to explain issues in a clear, concise, and logical manner</li><li>Capacity to work independently and as part of a geographically distributed group</li><li>Ability to travel 40% of time to educational institutions, conferences and other education-related events<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li> 5+ years of account management or business development experience</li><li> A proven track-record in managing and expanding key accounts</li><li> Strong influencing skills to start conversations and relationships</li><li> Previous experience using Salesforce or other CRM tool<br><br></li></ul><strong>Learn More<br><br></strong><strong>About Autodesk<br><br></strong>Welcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $82,000 and $147,620. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
