About the Role We're looking for a sharp, culturally fluent Social Media Manager who can own the everyday heartbeat of Instacart's social presence. You're the strategic executor and creative engine behind our always-on content — writing briefs, leading platform operations, and ensuring Instacart shows up consistently, creatively, and relevantly between major campaigns. You know what stops a scroll before it trends on your FYP, you're as comfortable ideating content around the next food trend as you are in a spreadsheet, and you thrive in a fast-moving environment where no two days are the same. About the Team – You will be a key member of the Brand Marketing team at Instacart, reporting to the Head of Social. The Brand Marketing team is responsible for defining and building a beloved brand that fuels growth and builds long-term equity with consumers. About You Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field - 3+ years of experience as a Social Media Manager, with 5+ years in social media and marketing roles overall - Proven track record managing always-on content across TikTok, Instagram, Threads, X, Pinterest, and YouTube Shorts - Experience owning content calendars and publishing workflows end-to-end - Pop culture obsessed. You know what's trending, what's dying, and what's about to blow up before it hits everyone else's FYP - Strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in social analytics platforms (e.g., Sprinklr, Dash Hudson) - Experience building and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports in both spreadsheet and deck formats - Strong cross-functional collaborator with proven experience working closely with Creator, CX, Brand, PR, and Paid teams to align social with broader campaign and community goals - Demonstrated ability to write creative briefs and provide feedback to freelance or contract content creators - Meticulous attention to detail — from copy accuracy to publish timing, nothing slips through the cracks - Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities while staying organized, proactive, and solutions-oriented - Strong creative judgment with the ability to give thoughtful, actionable feedback on content and storytelling Preferred Qualifications - Experience in creating and editing lofi Tiktoks and familiar with editing tools such as CapCut - Understanding of SEO best practices as applied to social and digital content - Experience collaborating with content creators and influencers across tiers (micro to mega) to develop social-first concepts that support trends, launches, brand moments, and cultural relevance - Understanding of the influencer ecosystem, social/PR gifting campaigns, and creator-driven amplification strategies Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work.
