Your responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting, reconditioning, and repairing vehicles to ensure CarMax customers can drive with confidence.
  • Collaborating with your team to swiftly and effectively solve technical issues.
  • Gaining valuable experience working on a diverse range of domestic and foreign vehicles.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, or heating and air conditioning.
  • Understanding of health and safety compliance.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and maintain physical stamina to walk and stand for long periods.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license is required.
  • Must maintain ASE Certifications where required by state or local law.*

*In California, Certified Technicians must hold ASE Certification in Engine Repair (A1), Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), and Heating/Air Conditioning (A7). Master Certified Technicians must additionally maintain ASE Certification in Transmission/Transaxle (A2), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Electrical (A6), and Engine Performance (A8).
