Overview

The position of Channel Marketing Manager drives marketing strategy and execution for a defined region in the U.S., supporting sales efforts across multiple distribution channels, including 1-Step, 2-Step, Lumberyards and Direct. This role will work closely with Sales leadership (Territory Sales Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Directors, and the Vice President/General Manager of the region) to develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with Regional growth strategies that drive demand, enhance brand presence, and support revenue growth.

The Channel Marketing Manager will play a critical role in key account planning, crafting tailored marketing strategies for major customers and monitoring their performance. Success in this role will be driven by strong collaboration, analytical thinking, and the ability to translate business objectives into effective marketing programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Channel Marketing: Develop and implement regional marketing plans aligned with regional growth strategies and sales objectives for each distribution channel.

  • Support the sales team by creating channel-specific marketing programs that drive demand and strengthen customer relationships.

  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to refine strategies and maximize impact.

  • Sales Collaboration & Key Account Planning: Partner with Territory Sales Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Directors, and the Vice President/General Manager of the region to understand key business priorities and align marketing efforts.

  • Leverage data and market research to inform customer strategies and supplement performance reporting of the region.

  • Lead key account planning by developing and executing individualized marketing strategies for the region\'s largest and most strategic accounts.

  • Monitor and report on key account marketing initiatives, measuring effectiveness and optimizing as needed.

  • Marketing Execution & Program Management: Work with/through the Segment Marketing, Marketing Operations & Partner Enablement, and Brand & Demand teams to create and execute marketing campaigns, promotional programs, and brand-building activities tailored to regional needs.

  • Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment between marketing initiatives, product launches, and sales enablement tools.

  • Develop content and collateral strategies (e.g., brochures, digital assets, point-of-sale materials) as needed to support regional sales efforts.

  • Partner with Channel Management peers to ensure consistency of approach and mitigate mis-alignment of tactics between the Regions and Channels.

  • Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track the success of marketing initiatives through KPIs, ROI analysis, and customer feedback.

  • Provide regular reporting on marketing performance, trends, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Utilize CRM and marketing automation tools data to measure engagement and program success.

Qualifications

  • 5 plus years of experience in channel marketing, preferably within the building products, construction, or manufacturing industry.

  • Strong understanding of distribution channels in the residential windows and doors market.

  • Experience collaborating with sales teams to develop and execute marketing strategies.

  • Proven track record in key account marketing, demand generation, and campaign execution.

  • Ability to analyze market data, customer trends, and performance metrics to optimize marketing strategies.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools (CRM, marketing automation, analytics platforms).

  • Experience working with builders, dealers, contractors, and multi-family developers in a channel marketing capacity.

  • Knowledge of window and door product lines, building codes, and industry regulations.

  • Familiarity with digital marketing, including SEO, email marketing, and paid advertising.
