In partnership with Integrated Services of Kalamazoo (ISK), we are seeking an accomplished Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide medical leadership for one of Michigan?s most comprehensive behavioral and integrated health organizations.

This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced psychiatrist and physician leader to shape clinical strategy, influence system-wide care delivery, and remain meaningfully engaged in patient care within a mission-driven organization serving diverse community needs.

The Chief Medical Officer serves as the Medical Director of Integrated Services of Kalamazoo and acts as the primary medical advisor to the Chief Executive Officer on all matters related to:

  • Medical and psychiatric policy
  • Clinical treatment strategy
  • Quality, safety, and standards of care

    The CMO partners closely with the Chief of Staff and Senior Executive of Integrated Health Services to develop, implement, and continually refine a strategic business plan for psychiatric and integrated healthcare services.
    Approximately 30% of the role remains clinically active, providing direct patient care, while the remainder focuses on leadership, oversight, and system-level improvement initiatives.

    Required Training, Skills & Experience

    - MD or DO with five or more years of psychiatry experience
    - Minimum of three years of leadership or managerial experience in a behavioral health setting preferred
    - Exceptional communication skills with staff, providers, community partners, persons served, and their support systems
    - Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build collaborative relationships, and drive change across complex organizations
    - Valid Michigan Medical License
    - Current Board Certification
    - Active DEA and Controlled Substance certifications
