Candidates must be willing to travel to New York twice a year to be considered for the position.</b></p> <h2>Responsibilities</h2> <ul> <li>Conducts auditing of work performed by staff and presents findings and recommendations for areas of improvement to management</li> <li>Under minimal supervision responsible for all aspects of auditing projects that are broad in nature and require originality and/or ingenuity</li> <li>Assists with revisions to Policy and Procedure and/or work process development</li> <li>Conducts training needs analysis to determine specific training needs for clinical and coding staff</li> <li>Identifies, selects, or develops appropriate training programs, including the selection or design of appropriate training aids</li> <li>Maintains records of auditing and training activities and employee progress</li> <li>Performs other duties as assigned</li> <li>Complies with all policies and standards</li> </ul> <h2>Highly Preferred Skills</h2> <ul> <li>Inpatient Coding Experience</li> <li>At least 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital setting</li> <li>RN, PA, MD, APRN, DO or MBBS license required</li> <li>Strong written communication skills</li> </ul> <h2>Education/Experience</h2> <p>Associate’s degree in Nursing or equivalent experience. 4+ years of DRG and/or Medical Record Audit experience.
