CNC MACHINIST MILL SETUP/OPERATOR

Job Description:

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Setup and run machining jobs per standard methods as needed on various multi axis CNC Mill machines and deburr/detail part while machines are running if needed.
  • Produce excellent quality parts and tooling per work standard cycle times.
  • Inspect quality and use standard work methods to ensure quality.
  • Complete and Sign Routers and Travelers per policy.
  • As needed, perform discrepant part disposition (MRB) per the Control of Non-Conforming Product procedures.
  • As needed, document the production process: setup, tool list, special operating instructions, and in-process inspection documents.
  • As required by your supervisor, optimize machining jobs adjusting speeds and feeds on the machine.
  • Complete setups and run first articles parts.
  • Be able to demonstrate proper quality control measurement of machined parts.
  • Be familiar with CNC machine G and M codes and adjust programs as needed.
  • Train other personnel as required.
  • Own the jobs on the floor. Work with Programmers, Operators, Detail, Planners QC personnel and all other ATMI team members.
  • Always work to company policies and procedures
  • Other reasonable duties assigned.

Job Requirements:

In addition to the above, the successful machinist will have a strong background in machining and the ability to run CNC mill machines efficiently producing good quality parts. A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in setting up and operating machines. A working knowledge of the latest machine programming codes (Just for Programmers), tooling and processes is necessary. Working in and with the team and communicating clearly and professionally with co-workers is essential.

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
