About the position

THE POSITION Our roster has an opening with your name on it We are looking for a Commercial Analyst to join our Poker Analytics team. You will be the single source of truth on business health, key commercial KPIs and overall performance trends. In addition to monitoring the numbers and performing ad hoc investigations, the successful candidate will also be responsible for advising on and tracking any remedial actions, optimizations and business growth opportunities.The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in commercials. The role is a perfect mix of high-level technical analysis and polished storytelling to help guide the business to make optimal data driven decisions. The individual will provide critical support to both the operational & commercial teams, as well as the wider analytics team. The ideal candidate will have the drive and ambition to challenge the status quo, as well as being able to create clarity out of ambiguity. The role will form a key part of the analytics leadership team and as such the successful candidate will help shape the overall strategy for BI & Analytics. In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Single source of truth on business health, key commercial KPIs and overall performance trends.
  • Own the day-to-day KPI monitoring.
  • Improvement of the overall commercial position through insights and recommendations, partnering with key commercial stakeholders, finance and the wider analytics team.
  • Weekly trading meetings and monthly business reviews.
  • Proactive ad hoc deep dive analysis.
  • Collaboration with the finance function on reporting and forecasting.
  • Manage conflicting requirements, priorities and senior stakeholder expectations.
  • Input into the wider analytics strategy and collaboration across the group.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience in an analytics/technical role
  • Bachelor's Degree in a highly numerate major (Math, Stats, Econ, etc.) or relevant experience in data engineering / analysis
  • Strong personal organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a lot of ambiguity
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel and Tableau or another data visualization platforms required
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g. Python, R) and cloud computing platforms (e.g. Databricks)
  • Strong problem-solving skills, allied with track record of transforming data into actionable business insight
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Ability to be independent and lead on projects - proactive thinking
  • Advanced level understanding of the igaming ecosystem, ideally including poker.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience collaboratively working with colleagues in other countries and time zones preferred
