Working Duration: 6 months contract - Maternity Cover (Renewable based on business needs)

Working Location: 1 First Avenue, 2A, Dataran Bandar Utama, Bandar Utama Damansara, 47800 Petaling Jaya, Selangor (Hybrid 3 days WFO 2 WFH)

Working Day/Hours: Monday – Friday; 9.00am - 6.00pm

Salary: Range from RM 5,000 – 6,000 (Based on experience + skills) with statutory contribution + leave entitlement + medical insurance

Job Description Summary

  • You will work under the guidance of the Commercial Finance Manager to maintain finance transactions, data, systems and reporting. You will also collect data and perform detailed checks/controls.
Scope:
  • This position is responsible to provide business partnering support to the Sales team, which focuses on Trade Spend Management. This role is vital in ensuring an effective & efficient Trade Spend Management; understand, document, control, manage tracking model system and operational process at both frontline (Sales) and at back-end support (Finance)
Key accountabilities:
  • Validate sales trade claims from customers and ensure trade claims supported with proper documentation (invoice, proof of performance, sales reports)
  • Review accuracy of trade claims and identify invalid/ non-compliance claims while following up with sales team for resolution
  • Track trade spend actual vs approved budget and maintain clear audit trail for trade claims
  • Prepare, review and issue credit notes for approved trade claims and ensure accurately reflected in system
  • Partner with AR, OTC and Sales teams to clear customer deductions in timely manner to avoid aging issues
  • Support finance manager on month end closing processes (JV posting, financial reporting)
  • Monitor and analyse actual sales performance vs budget and forecast with explanations to management
  • Business partner with sales, accounting and operations to support commercial decision making
  • Continuously improve processes to strengthen compliance governance and reduce leakages
Requirements: Finance/Accounting background
  • Finance/ Accounting background with 2-3 years working experience
  • Excellent experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Preferred experience with SAP
  • Proficient communication skills, demonstrates good organizational skills, keen analytical ability and attention to detail
  • Good process mapping ability
  • Strong willingness to learn
  • Passion to learn and grow
