About The Role As a Consultant in the Public Affairs, Energy and Natural Resources sector, you will take an active role in supporting team members in the execution of consulting programs in the energy & natural resources and utility space and, by doing so, will learn the necessary subjects and processes to service and advise clients. In this role, you will develop and execute communications strategies to deliver results and meet client expectations, draft documents for client use, provide valuable research to inform client decisions, and work with the larger team to provide perspective to clients. Additional responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: Serve as one of the day-to-day client contacts on select accounts; manage the overall quality of work on multiple accounts public affairs initiatives by demonstrating professional and team leadership Play a role in the research, planning and development of comprehensive communication and governmental strategy programs Monitor client/region specific traditional and social media outlets, summarize findings and build client ready reports Manage client expectations and participate in preparing new business presentations Write and edit a variety of materials (e.g., memos, legislative analysis, press releases, presentations, emails, pitch decks, and web content) Address client issues thoughtfully and effectively Assist in successfully growing existing accounts Ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned by supervisor What You’ll Do Client Delivery Manage communication strategies and execute a variety of tactics at the same time Support multiple client teams to deliver high-quality work focused on client needs Create client-ready deliverables in a timely and efficient manner Provide strong project management Identify resource needs and work with managers to assign individual responsibilities Support billing procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client invoices Business Development Maintain solid relationships with clients Work with managers to help clients assess their program needs Actively participate in the generation of Strategic Communications new business proposals and presentations Practice Leadership Consistently seek ways to improve client service Participate and be willing to play a role in strategic initiatives Support the development, production and marketing of thought leadership surrounding emerging trends and issues Demonstrate a high level of integrity and ask the necessary questions to manage firm and client data responsibly How You’ll Grow We are committed to investing and supporting you in your professional development and we have developed a range of programs focused on fostering leadership, growth and development opportunities.
