Cytogenetics Analyst - US Remote

<p>Labcorp Oncology is seeking a <b>remote Cytogenetics Technologist</b> to join our team that’s based in Brentwood, TN!  The position will focus primarily on oncology chromosomes utilizing the Applied Spectral Imaging software and may include onscreen FISH analysis utilizing Metasystems Neon. </p><p></p><p><b>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm</b></p><p></p><p><b><span>Responsibilities: </span></b></p><ul><li><span>Perform analysis of chromosomes, which includes imaging and karyotyping of cytogenetic specimens</span></li><li><span>Review test requisitions to gather pertinent details for analysis</span></li><li><span>Summarize test results utilizing ISCN nomenclature</span></li><li><span>Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results</span></li><li><span>Perform and evaluate troubleshooting, document all corrective actions as needed</span></li><li><span>Comply with company policies and procedures</span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology</li><li>2 years of experience working in a Cytogenetics clinical laboratory</li><li>1 year of experience with cytogenetic analysis of metaphase spreads via computerized images </li><li><span>1 year of experience in Oncology cytogenetics</span></li><li>ASCP certification in Cytogenetics (ASCP CG)</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional Job Standards:</b></p><ul><li>Computer skills; must be able to effectively use the Internet, email, text messaging, chat applications, and familiarity with Microsoft Office. </li><li>Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback</li><li>Strong patient focus</li><li>Effectively manages own time, conflicting priorities, self, stress, and professional development</li><li>Self-motivated and self-starter with ability to work independently with limited supervision</li></ul><p></p><p>Application Window Open Through: 4/30/26</p><p></p><p>Candidate can be located anywhere in the US.  Must meet Work from Home requirements listed below.</p><p></p><p>Salary Range: $25 - $45/hour</p><p>All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. </p><p></p><p><b>Work Location:</b> Remote based in US</p><p></p><p><b>Work From Home Requirements: </b></p><ul><li>Home office space must be a dedicated room that isn’t shared and meets HIPAA compliance.</li><li>Must agree to have your home address added to reports of cases you analyze or report.  This is a CMS requirement.</li><li><b>Wired </b>internet at a minimum speed of 100 mb/sec</li><li>Ability to work remotely effectively as required in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Benefits: </b>Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
