Location: Primarily Remote (Approximately 20% Travel to Baltimore, MD or Chicago, IL based on project milestones)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced D-Series Lead to support a large-scale Customer Transformation Program focused on modernizing customer platforms and enterprise integrations within an Oracle Utilities environment.
This role will serve as the technical lead and primary coordinator for all D-Series platform activities, working closely with Day 2 Operations, infrastructure teams, delivery teams, and offshore resources to ensure the successful setup, execution, validation, and support of D-Series jobs that enable end-to-end application functionality.
The ideal candidate is a technically strong Oracle integration professional with experience in programming, enterprise integrations, REST APIs, Oracle technologies, and scripting. While prior D-Series platform experience is highly preferred, candidates with strong Oracle integration and middleware backgrounds who can quickly adapt to the D-Series environment are encouraged to apply.


Project Overview
This enterprise-wide Customer Transformation initiative is modernizing customer operations by implementing middleware, APIs, cloud-native services, and event-driven integrations connecting numerous customer-facing and enterprise systems.
The D-Series Lead will play a critical role in ensuring D-Series batch jobs, integrations, and supporting infrastructure are properly configured, validated, and coordinated across multiple delivery workstreams. This individual will act as the central point of coordination between technical delivery teams, Day 2 operational support teams, infrastructure teams, and offshore development resources to ensure successful deployment and operational readiness.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for D-Series platform activities supporting a large Oracle Utilities Customer Transformation Program.
  • Coordinate closely with Day 2 Operations, D-Series support teams, infrastructure teams, and application delivery teams to ensure successful execution of D-Series jobs and end-to-end application functionality.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for offshore development and support resources, facilitating communication, issue resolution, and technical coordination across distributed teams.
  • Support the setup, execution, validation, and troubleshooting of D-Series jobs throughout development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Coordinate technical dependencies across infrastructure, networking, application, and operational support teams.
  • Validate end-to-end processing and ensure D-Series jobs execute successfully across integrated application environments.
  • Develop, review, and support automation scripts, shell scripts, and job execution procedures.
  • Execute and troubleshoot scripts using secure shell (SSH) access within enterprise environments.
  • Design, develop, and support enterprise integrations leveraging Oracle technologies, REST APIs, and middleware solutions.
  • Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and business teams to resolve technical issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, implementation planning, deployment activities, and production readiness assessments.
  • Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, job execution guides, and system support documentation.
  • Track technical tasks, issues, risks, and project activities using Jira while participating in Agile ceremonies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, operational stability, and deployment efficiency across the D-Series platform.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise Oracle applications, middleware, or integration platforms.
  • Strong experience with enterprise integrations and Oracle technologies.
  • Experience designing or supporting REST APIs and enterprise integration solutions.
  • Experience with programming and scripting, including shell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience using SSH to access enterprise environments, execute scripts, and troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Experience coordinating technical activities across multiple infrastructure, application, and operational support teams.
  • Proven ability to serve as a technical liaison between delivery teams, operational support organizations, and offshore resources.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working within Agile software development environments.
  • Proficiency using Jira to manage work assignments, defects, and project tasks.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience supporting the D-Series platform.
  • Experience triggering, monitoring, validating, and troubleshooting D-Series jobs.
  • Experience with Oracle Utilities applications, including:
    • Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B)
    • Oracle Customer to Meter (C2M)
    • Oracle Utilities Application Framework (OUAF)
    • Oracle Meter Data Management (MDM)
  • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), middleware, or enterprise messaging platforms.
  • Utility or energy industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting customer transformation or digital modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, automation frameworks, and enterprise deployment processes.
