Desktop Support Specialist

The Desktop Support Specialist is responsible for assisting with the installation, configuration, and testing of IT equipment. This position assists with network and system upgrades and interacts with day to day to ensure all IT support tickets are handled in a timely manner. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve user technical problems. Consults with users to determine hardware, software and system specifications. Responsible for completing IT support tickets in a timely manner. Helps with the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment. Assists with maintaining network and system documentation. Assists with network and system upgrades. Monitors and updates company IT equipment. Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives. Perform Other Duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. At least 2 years’ experience working in IT support. Ability to work in a fast paced, team atmosphere. Preference in working in a small business environment. Knowledge and skill in using discretional judgment and organizational ability as well as being adaptable and versatile to perform different duties. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality to Company information. Ability to work independently with little supervision. Strong attention to detail. Must be able to speak, read and write in the English language.
