Learn more about our flexible approach to where we work. ## Overview We are hiring a Director, Strategy & Planning (International) to drive international go-to-market strategy for our Instacart Platform. In this role, you will have responsibilities including, but not limited to, overseeing the International pillar of the Strategy & Planning team, setting Instacart’s retailer go-to-market strategy for these initiatives across the full span of our Instacart Platform solutions, supporting the ongoing success of these initiatives, and communicating results to Instacart’s executive team. ## About the Job - Define Instacart’s international retailer strategy for launching and growing our suite of Instacart Platform solutions by driving vision, commercialization strategy, and go-to-market planning of complete range of retail enterprise opportunities available to retailers outside North America - Lead Strategy & Planning pillar responsible for collaborating with Engineering, Product, Corporate Development, Operations, Legal, Finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders to define our international operating model and new market entry strategy - Own long-range planning for the international commercial business, turning our business momentum into clear targets that focus our efforts on the highest-impact opportunities to support our long-term growth - Build the international commercial enablement system, including ROI models, GTM materials, and competitive intelligence. Partner with sales teams to bring these resources to bear to support both multi-solution platform partnerships and point-solution opportunities - Work closely with our Strategic Partnerships team to identify opportunities to accelerate our retail GTM strategy through growth and product partnerships - Deliver clear and compelling content to senior leadership, both internally and at retail partners ## About You - 10+ years previous experience in the grocery, retail, enterprise SaaS GTM, or strategy consulting serving the grocery industry with demonstrated cross-functional and collaborative project experience, and a track record of significant business impact. - Experience building and running an operating cadence and governance framework for a complex, cross-functional and multi-region business. - Experience operating in an international environment, including comfort with varying regulatory and competitive contexts, new-market entry strategy and planning, and distributed teams. - Comfort with both risk and ambiguity, and skilled at creating organized and structured details even in ambiguous contexts. Ability to work in a fast-changing environment, with an entrepreneurial approach. - Executive-level written and visual communication skills serving cross-functional teams, management, and external stakeholders. Ability to sell a big-picture story to a variety of audiences, and credibility to get into fine-grained details where needed. - Long-term strategic thinking balanced with near-term execution skills and the ability to take complex data and distill them into a meaningful and coherent story. - Strong retailer empathy and an ability to understand what matters most to our grocery and non-grocery partners’ business. - Inspirational team leader with experience building a culture of engagement, enthusiasm, and high performance. - Location flexible Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work.
