Our culture is open, collaborative, intellectually rigorous, and creatively vibrant.<br><br><strong><strong>Role Summary<br><br></strong></strong>We are seeking a Director of Product Management to shape the roadmap and priorities for a consumer-facing, living application that is a key component of a broader initiative under development at LEGO Digital Play. In this role, you will own the direction, feature definition, roadmap, and P&L of the application.<br><br>You will work closely with game designers, software engineers, art directors, legal and marketers to guide delivery, launch planning, ongoing feature development, and user acquisition. You will also manage a small team of UX and product management professionals.<br><br>This role requires a strong analytical thinker with a passion for data analysis and a firm grasp of the product development process. Strong communication, leadership, and management skills are also a must.<br><br><strong><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong></strong><ul><li>Roadmap: Define product vision, roadmap, and development priorities, balancing product needs, business strategy, and technical constraints. Maintain and shape a feature backlog.</li><li>User Stories: Partner with internal and external partners to understand use cases, pain points, and business opportunities, and translate your findings into actionable user stories.</li><li>Business Planning: Work with a cross-functional team to develop business strategy and go-to-market plans for the broader initiative.</li><li>Prototyping: Spec out paper or lightweight prototypes to assist in concept and user testing.</li><li>Communication and Documentation: Ensure decisions are communicated appropriately and the work on the application is appropriately documented and accessible to stakeholders.</li><li>Content and Game Design: Collaborate with the Content and System Design Leads to craft a tightly integrated experience.</li><li>Management: Manage a small team of UX and product management professionals.</li><li>Problem Solving & Decision-Making: Identify challenges early and drive resolution—either directly or through escalation with clear recommendations.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience in game development and product management, particularly product ownership.</li><li>Proven experience bringing new products to market.</li><li>Fluency with scrum and/or similar project management methodologies.</li><li>Proven ability to translate product vision into scalable, shippable systems.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build and manage a small team.</li><li>Ability to operate in ambiguity while building structure and clarity.</li><li>Excellent communication and synthesis skills.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience with hybrid physical/digital systems</li><li>Experience working with external partners, IP holders, or creative collaborators</li><li>Familiarity with distributing products via the iOS and Google Play app stores<br><br></li></ul><strong>Compensation<br><br></strong>The salary for this position has a range of USD 195,000 – USD 263,000 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. LEGO Digital Play carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law.
