Our Systems Engineering team works hand in hand with the Sales organization to provide technical leadership, guidance, and trusted advisory to customers throughout their cybersecurity transformation journey.<br>As part of this team, you will help customers identify complex security, networking, cloud, and hybrid workforce challenges, and translate them into practical, scalable, and business-aligned solutions using our market-leading SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, and network security platforms.</p><p></p><p><b>Job Summary</b><br><b>As a SASE Domain Consultant / Pre-Sales Engineer</b>, you will provide deep technical expertise and strategic guidance to customers as they modernize their network security architecture and adopt Zero Trust principles.<br>You will be responsible for defining and positioning technical solutions that protect users, applications, branches, cloud environments, SaaS platforms, and data, while helping customers simplify operations, improve user experience, and strengthen their overall security posture.<br>You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and internal teams, evangelizing our leadership in SASE, SSE, Zero Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateway, CASB, DLP, SD-WAN, and cloud-delivered security services, establishing Palo Alto Networks as the customer’s strategic cybersecurity partner.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b><br>Collaborate with sales teams to identify, qualify, recommend, and develop customer solutions within the SASE, SSE, and Zero Trust security domains.<br>Engage with customers at all levels, from technical practitioners and architects to CISOs, CTOs, and senior leadership, positioning the value of SASE transformation in both technical and business terms.<br>Lead and support customer demonstrations, workshops, architecture sessions, and technical deep dives that showcase our unique value proposition across Prisma Access, Prisma SD-WAN, Prisma Browser, CASB, DLP, ADEM, and related cloud-delivered security services.<br>Own and drive Technical Validation projects, Proofs of Value, and customer evaluations based on best practices, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and driving the technical win in assigned opportunities.<br>Architect solutions that help customers secure hybrid workforces, branch offices, cloud environments, SaaS applications, private applications, and internet access while simplifying their security and networking operations.<br>Document high-level designs, key use cases, success criteria, technical assumptions, and implementation considerations to support proper deployment and value realization.</p><p></p><p>Lead technical conversations around industry trends, including SASE, SSE, Zero Trust, cloud security, SaaS security, data protection, hybrid work, digital experience monitoring, and network transformation.<br>Map customer requirements to product capabilities, clearly articulating technical fit, value, differentiation, limitations, and recommended implementation approaches.<br>Serve as the primary technical point of contact for SASE and SSE opportunities, supporting responses to RFIs, RFPs, technical questionnaires, and competitive evaluations.</p><p></p><p>Position Palo Alto Networks professional services, partner-delivered services, and customer success resources when needed to ensure successful implementation and adoption.<br>Discuss competitive offerings with credibility and professionalism, clearly positioning Palo Alto Networks as the best alternative based on architecture, security efficacy, operational simplicity, platform integration, and business value.<br>Provide specialized knowledge in SASE, SSE, cloud-delivered security, network transformation, and Zero Trust architectures, helping internal teams, partners, and customers make informed technical decisions.<br>Collaborate with product management, technical marketing, customer success, support, and engineering teams to provide field feedback, escalate technical issues, and influence product improvements based on customer requirements.</p><p></p><p></p><p><b>Qualifications </b></p><p></p><p><b>Required Qualifications</b><br>6+ years of experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, consulting, solution architecture, or technical advisory roles within networking, network security, cloud security, Zero Trust, SSE, or SASE.<br>Solid understanding of SASE and SSE architectures, including Secure Web Gateway, ZTNA, CASB, DLP, SaaS Security, Remote Browser Isolation or enterprise browser concepts, DNS Security, Threat Prevention, and cloud-delivered security services.<br>Experience with network security technologies such as NGFW, IPS/IDS, URL filtering, malware prevention, DNS security, VPN, proxy, SSL decryption, identity-based security policies, and segmentation.<br>Experience with L2–L4 networking concepts, including VLANs, trunking, routing, static routes, OSPF, BGP, route redistribution, NAT, high availability, and load balancing.<br>Understanding of SD-WAN architectures, branch connectivity, internet breakout, cloud connectivity, application performance, traffic steering, and integration with cloud-delivered security platforms.<br>Experience working with cloud and SaaS environments, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Salesforce, collaboration platforms, public cloud environments, and private application access.<br>Ability to lead customer-facing demonstrations, technical validations, workshops, and architecture discussions with confidence and credibility.<br>Strong customer communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and executive audiences.<br>Experience responding to RFIs, RFPs, security questionnaires, and technical requirements for enterprise cybersecurity opportunities.<br>Strong collaboration skills with sales
