We work across the full stack to deliver the end-to-end journey from application start to policy issuance, partnering closely with product and design to ship features that directly drive revenue. The team operates in a fast-moving, high-stakes domain where quality and velocity both matter.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Within Bestow Engineering, our major functional teams are product engineering, infrastructure, IT, data and analytics, martech, and program management. Frontend Platform works closely with upstream engineering teams, experience design, and product management to define and prioritize the product roadmap.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role will report to our Director of Engineering and is open to Remote (US).</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">#LI-REMOTE</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work directly with other engineering teams, product, design, TPM, and external stakeholders to introduce new customer-facing platform features and support/evolve existing products.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work with a distributed team of engineers–mentoring and driving engineering best practices.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Assist in setting the roadmap for team deliverables in a dynamic environment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Drive delivery of high-quality product initiatives and engineering improvements.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work with the team to identify, scope, and schedule improvements to the frontend platform.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Communicate effectively, excelling at explaining complex systems and requirements to non-technical cross-functional partners.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Be very technical and willing to participate in system design, code reviews, incident investigations, and directly contribute code towards team initiatives.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Be data-driven in their engineering management practices, fostering continuous improvement.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>WHO YOU ARE</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">5+ years experience developing software, with at least 1 year of prior management experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proficient across the full stack — frontend (React, Remix/Next.js), backend services (GoLang and/or Python), APIs, and databases</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Deep understanding of the entire software development lifecycle, including feature inception, GenAI developer tooling, continuous delivery, and release strategies.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to track key metrics and consistently meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to understand complex technical problems and identify areas of risk.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to ‘go deep’ technically when necessary. Establishes cross-stack standards for AI-generated code—from API design to UI components—ensuring that automated testing and documentation workflows reduce technical debt.
