The Boeing Company is currently seeking Experienced Software Developer/Systems Engineers (Virtual) to support our Software Quality Engineering team. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Software Quality Software Engineering organization.

Our team creates software tools and services for Software Quality Organization and its Engineers to use to report quality issues and metrics that Software Development teams can take action on to improve the quality of product being delivered. Our impact is across BCA, BDS, Space and BGS programs.

This is an opportunity to work in an environment where we are leveraging technology to assist our SQE with issue discovery and reports out any quality issue to programs. We are looking for someone who can motivate team members, capture requirements, develop code, test code and work with developers and non-developers. Our expectation for the individual is to be not afraid to embrace any technology including cloud and AI development. You will need to understand cloud development and agile methodology using a CI/CD environment; integrated with automated testing while also being a Product Owner delegate.

This position requires proven experience within the software ecosystem, a unique background of project experience, and a clear exhibition of superior judgment and decision making to engineer new solutions and capabilities. Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills are required!

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain requirements, architecture, interfaces, and design for Software Quality Dashboards, Automation efforts, Tools etc

  • Software development activities in the scaled agile methodology utilizing a DevSecOps environment

  • Supporting software development activities and integrating completed software components into a fully functional software system

  • Support progress demonstration presentations to customer representatives and program/IPT leadership

  • Perform day-to-day activities in the areas of Product Owner Delegate, and Integration & Test lead

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience)

  • 3+ years of experience with software development for aerospace, including web development

  • 3+ years of experience in the Software Development lifecycle (including Requirements Analysis, Design, Code, Integration & Test)

  • 3+ years of experience in Phyton and SQL

  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment with DevOps methodologies

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Experience as a Product Owner/Technical Lead and/or Integration & Test Lead for government programs

  • 3+ years of experience with software development using either Python, C++, JavaScript, SQL, or React Experience with Quality tools and backend database

  • Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration platforms

  • Strong experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines in GitLab to automate testing, builds, and deployment workflows

Summary Pay Range for a virtual Experienced Level: $99,450 - $155,250.
