Job Description

XPO Logistics is actively seeking experienced Fleet Owners to partner with us for dedicated freight lanes. This is an exceptional opportunity for established fleet owners to leverage our extensive network and consistent freight volume, supported by our robust remote operational team. As a Fleet Owner Partner, you will be responsible for managing your fleet and drivers to ensure timely and safe delivery of dedicated freight, while receiving comprehensive remote support for dispatch, compliance, and administrative tasks. This partnership offers stability, consistent revenue potential, and the backing of a global logistics leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a fleet of commercial vehicles in compliance with all DOT regulations and company standards.
  • Recruit, manage, and retain qualified and experienced truck drivers.
  • Ensure timely and efficient delivery of dedicated freight to specified destinations.
  • Utilize remote support systems for dispatch, load management, and communication.
  • Manage fuel efficiency, maintenance schedules, and operational costs for your fleet.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, repairs, and driver logs.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and training for all drivers.
  • Communicate proactively with XPO Logistics remote support regarding load status, potential delays, and operational needs.
  • Adhere to all contractual agreements and performance metrics established with XPO Logistics.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience as a fleet owner or owner-operator (minimum 5 years).
  • Strong understanding of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle operations.
  • Excellent business acumen and financial management skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team of drivers.
  • Proficiency in using telematics, GPS, and dispatch software.
  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) for primary owner if operating, and for all drivers in the fleet.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with dedicated freight contracts and long-term partnerships.
  • Familiarity with XPO Logistics' operational procedures and technology platforms.
  • Background in logistics management or supply chain operations.
