We're growing and looking to expand our team. At Monacella Photography, we create an elevated portrait experience designed to help our clients feel confident, celebrated, and truly seen. Our full-service process includes professional makeup artistry and light hair styling for every session.

Our clients are primarily women ages 35–60, along with high school seniors and professional women seeking modern, camera-ready portraits. We work with a wide range of skin tones and styles, and value a natural yet polished look that photographs beautifully.

You should

  • Understand makeup for photography and studio lighting
  • Work efficiently while maintaining a relaxed client experience
  • Be skilled in light hair styling including curling, smoothing, straightening, and adding volume

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced makeup artist looking for flexible, well-planned contract work alongside an established portrait brand.

  • Sessions are scheduled well in advance
  • Larger shoot days may range from 6-8 hours.
  • Once approved, you’ll have the flexibility to accept dates that fit your schedule
  • Our busiest session days are typically Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday
Responsibilities
  • Create a welcoming, confidence-building environment during session prep
  • Complete makeup applications efficiently at approximately one client per hour
  • Make touch-ups or adjustments during sessions as needed
  • Maintain clean and hygienic makeup practices and tools
  • Provide light hair styling support for portrait sessions
Applicants will be asked to complete a makeup trial prior to being assigned client sessions. We’d love to hear from you and look forward to welcoming the right artist to our team.
