The role

As Quality Control Director EMEA, you will play a critical leadership role within the EMEA Quality function, driving both strategic direction and operational excellence across laboratory services.

Reporting directly to the VP Quality Assurance EMEA, you will lead laboratory operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, robust quality systems, and continuous improvement across all testing methodologies and performance standards. You will oversee QC leadership and laboratory teams, operating with a high degree of autonomy and influence across internal and external stakeholders.

key responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all laboratory operations, including workflow planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Develop and execute strategic plans aligned to global and regional quality objectives
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain all relevant certifications and accreditations
  • Own laboratory quality systems, including test method approvals, audits, and corrective action processes
  • Provide technical leadership across analytical methods, instrumentation, and staff competency
  • Ensure integrity, accuracy, and security of laboratory data and systems
  • Manage budgets, capital investment, and equipment lifecycle
  • Lead, coach, and develop QC Managers and laboratory teams, fostering a high-performance culture
  • Define and track KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, bottlers, and co-packing partners
  • Support business needs in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Travel across the EMEA region (approximately 20%)
About you
  • 10+ years’ experience within quality control or quality assurance, including 5+ years in a leadership role
  • Strong leadership capability with the ability to inspire, influence, and drive performance
  • Proven experience working within complex, multi-site or international environments
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to align quality strategy with business objectives
  • Deep understanding of ISO 17025 and relevant laboratory standards
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and drive decision-making
  • Experience managing budgets, projects, and multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
  • Fluent English (written and verbal)
Education
  • Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or a related discipline (essential)
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
