<strong>Job Description<br><br></strong><strong>Harborview Medical Center - 7E Acute Care Trauma Surgery </strong>has an outstanding opportunity for a <strong>Full-time</strong> <strong>Evenings Health Unit Coordinator.<br><br></strong><strong>WORK SCHEDULE<br><br></strong><ul><li>Full-time Evenings (100% FTE)</li><li>Mondays- Fridays 3:00pm- 11:30pm<br><br></li></ul><strong>POSITION HIGHLIGHTS<br><br></strong><ul><li>Conveniently located near public transportation</li><li>Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve</li><li>Opportunity to provide career growth<br><br></li></ul><strong>PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES<br><br></strong><ul><li>Thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment where multitasking and strong organizational skills are essential</li><li>Provide staff, providers, and patients with an efficient system of internal and external communications, including answering phones and triaging call lights</li><li>Respond to patient and family inquiries in a timely, courteous, and accurate manner</li><li>Assist in maintaining a welcoming and organized unit environment for patients, families, and staff</li><li>Work closely with the charge RN to help manage patient flow, prioritize unit needs, and coordinate admits, transfers, and discharges</li><li>Prepare and compile discharge packets to support timely and safe patient discharges</li><li>Coordinate transportation and appropriate paperwork for patient transfers and diagnostic testing</li><li>Handle unit paperwork, including patient chart maintenance, consent forms, and other documentation</li><li>Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment and restock as needed Utilize computer systems such as Epic, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook for communication, documentation, and coordination</li><li>Partner with all members of the care team to prioritize patient satisfaction and exceptional care delivery<br><br></li></ul><strong>REQUIREMENTS<br><br></strong><ul><li>High school graduation or equivalent AND</li><li>One year of healthcare, administrative, or customer service experience OR</li><li>An equivalent combination of education/experience <br><br></li></ul><strong>About Harborview Medical Center<br><br></strong>As the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
