Role Description

The EAP Head of Sales is responsible for accelerating the growth and market impact of Aetna’s Resources for Living (RFL) solution. This role drives strategy to expand revenue, strengthen client value delivery, and increase adoption across employer and health plan segments. The leader integrates insights from product, clinical, sales, marketing, and analytics teams to position RFL as a modern, outcomes-driven, enterprise-ready wellbeing solution. Serving as both a market ambassador and an enterprise connector, this role represents RFL externally with consultants, clients, and industry stakeholders, while ensuring the RFL value proposition is clearly understood and effectively activated across internal segments and markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Growth Strategy & Market Positioning
    • Develop and execute RFL’s growth strategy, including target segments, market opportunities, and competitive positioning.
    • Translate market, client, and performance insights into clear strategic priorities and growth initiatives.
  • Pipeline Leadership & Sales Enablement
    • Partner with sales and consulting teams to accelerate pipeline growth and influence large, complex opportunities.
    • Support finalist presentations and key pursuits with compelling value stories, outcomes data, and differentiation.
    • Equip field teams with clear messaging, tools, and enablement assets.
  • External Market Representation
    • Serve as a visible representative of RFL to employer consultants, brokers, and strategic partners.
    • Participate in finalist meetings, key client engagements, and industry conferences to elevate RFL’s credibility and market presence.
    • Build trusted relationships that shape perception, influence buying decisions, and surface emerging market needs.
  • Product & Experience Innovation
    • Inform product, clinical, and experience roadmaps by translating customer needs and market trends into actionable innovation priorities.
    • Partner with internal teams to ensure RFL evolves in alignment with enterprise wellbeing strategies and client expectations.
  • Enterprise Connectivity & Value Amplification
    • Build strong internal partnerships across employer, health plan, and specialty segments to ensure RFL’s value proposition is consistently understood and embedded.
    • Align RFL positioning with broader Aetna and CVS Health solutions to drive integrated growth.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance
    • Lead and influence across product, clinical, operations, marketing, analytics, and sales through clear governance and accountability.
    • Drive alignment on priorities, investments, and execution progress.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in healthcare, wellbeing, behavioral health, or related enterprise solutions.
  • Demonstrated success driving growth strategy, sales enablement, or general management of complex products or services.
  • Experience working with large employers, consultants, or health plans.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functionally in a matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EAP, behavioral health, or workforce wellbeing solutions.
  • Background in strategy, product leadership, sales leadership, or P&L-adjacent roles.
  • Experience representing solutions at finalist meetings or industry conferences.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $100,000.00 - $231,540.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
