Role Description

The Nursing Professional Practice role ensures that nursing practice consistently meets or exceeds standards set by regulators, payers, business partners, and patients. This role serves as the nursing practice subject matter expert for the organization and focuses on adherence to state and federal nursing practice laws and regulations, internal regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. The role also drives nursing practice excellence across all care settings.

  • Lead, develop, and execute continuous performance improvement initiatives for nursing practice
  • Provide daily oversight of programs that monitor and review adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards for Coram Nursing
  • Offer long-term thought leadership on the design, execution, and management of nursing compliance and quality programs
  • Ensure nursing practice consistently aligns with regulatory expectations and supports high standards of professional care

Qualifications

  • Active nursing license in state of residence
  • 5+ years of nursing experience, including at least 5+ years in home health, hospital, primary care clinic, or other healthcare facility settings
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with proven experience influencing internal stakeholders and fostering effective partnerships to achieve successful outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing complex business projects and initiatives, including the ability to juggle multiple high-priority efforts through both direct work and leading others
  • Deep knowledge of nursing, specialty, and/or infusion services, with the ability to make sound, timely decisions, interpret behavioral trends and outcomes, and lead effectively in a rapidly changing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a strong track record of working cross-functionally to define root causes, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a quality, compliance, or regulatory clinical role (preferred)
  • Previous specialty nursing experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
