Lead Product Manager

Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.

  • Serves as the central resource with design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing as the product(s) move to production and distribution.
  • Involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product's lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.
  • Recognized subject matter expert with specialized knowledge in the function.
  • Manages large projects or processes.
  • Limited oversight from manager. Coaches, reviews and delegates work to lower level professionals.
  • Problems faced are difficult and often complex. Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.
  • Provides solutions to a variety of advanced complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.
  • May be the in-house expert on specific technologies or within the job function area. Complete understanding and wide application of advanced technical principles, theories and concepts in a specialized field.
  • Possess broad knowledge of professional field and other related functions.
  • Goals are provided to the incumbent in form of desired results. Determines and develops approach to solve functional area related issues.
  • Enhanced level understanding of the department and the role that is plays in supporting the organization.
  • Is able to easily work with other departments to determine strategy and processes.
  • Seeks new ways to improve department and function within the company. Regular provides insight into complex issues and for complex department questions.
  • Either sets or participates in department goal setting. Regular provides direction for junior staff members.
  • Compensation 160,000-180,000 plus bonus and equity

Has advanced technical knowledge and has some knowledge in related disciplines. Possess the strongest of skills acquired through advanced training, study and experience. May posses four year college degree (or additional relevant experience in a related field). Minimum 8 years functional experience including a minimum of 5 years position specific experience.
