  • What’s the Role?
  • We have an exciting opportunity for a global manager to lead a distributed team across different regions in our Financials vertical, which includes coverage of Banks, Asset Managers, FinTech, REITs and Insurance sectors. You will be expected to guide four teams through their respective team leaders across AMER, APAC and EMEA to think strategically, apply data management best practices across a wide range of datasets, and deliver high-quality data. You will influence and drive the technical and product development of both the data and the people by implementing standard processes for data management assets within the organization. You will also collaborate extensively with colleagues across global business units.

  • Build and lead global teams of team leaders and senior individual contributors

Recruit, mentor, and develop industry-specialist analysts who deliver high-quality data, financial modeling, content curation, and client solutions

Partner with global counterparts and internal teams including Product, Bloomberg Intelligence, Engineering, and Financial Products to evolve workflows, ensure consistent data quality, and drive adoption across clients

Lead proactive data-quality management with customer-focused metrics managing technical projects and engaging in technical discussions with partners

Bring deep sector and dataset expertise to develop Bloomberg’s data strategy

Advance organizational skills in data management, modeling, engineering, analytics, and financial modeling to deliver robust, multi-product data solutions

Stay ahead of with new technologies including AI and machine learning, business intelligence, and Bloomberg’s tech stack

  • You’ll Need To Have:
  • 7+ years of management experience with direct reports, ideally leading diverse and global teams

A solid grasp of data management principles and technologies such as data modeling, data analysis, data quality, process engineering and statistics to tell a narrative and/or generate data-driven insights

Sophisticated Python/Pandas skills, proficiency in Applied Statistics (descriptive methods, inferential statistics and sampling), understanding of AI/ML techniques for tabular data and foundational understanding of data modeling techniques

Good understanding of the wide-ranging impact of financial data and deep knowledge of financial statement analysis, financial modeling and industry analysis

Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Qlik Sense or PowerBI

  • We’d Love To See:
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field, and/or CFA designation (or progress toward it)

Understanding of modern data stack infrastructure, mainly data ingestion, storage, and orchestration

Curiosity in equity markets and fundamental understanding of a sector KPIs and drivers, ideally within Financials or subsectors

Demonstrable experience leading product development or sales initiatives passionate about delivering impactful data solutions to financial services clients

Knowledge of Bloomberg Company Financials products and clients’ workflows as well as proficiency with the Bloomberg Terminal
