<strong>Role Description<br><br></strong>Tata Technologies, Inc.: Manufacturing Systems Engineer – Detroit, MI<br><br><strong>Duties<br><br></strong><ul><li> Responsible for business requirement understanding, blueprint, development, implementation, data migration and testing of Manufacturing/Assembly Process Planning with MPP module of Teamcenter PLM application for Automotive, Aerospace, Heavy Machinery and other industry clients.</li><li> Responsible for onsite project management and coordination with offshore team on execution of Manufacturing/Assembly Process Planning.</li><li> Blueprinting, As-Is Process Study, To-Be Process definition, Fit Gap Analysis w.r.t. OOTB functionality of MPP (Manufacturing Process Planner) of Teamcenter.</li><li> Discuss with customer to understand Business Requirements and define the use cases, play back sessions with client stake holders, sign off on Use cases.</li><li> Collaborate and review proposed changes for integration of all the Upstream and Downstream applications with Teamcenter PLM application.</li><li> Define the Manufacturing Data Model elements and its workflow processes.</li><li> Understand the EBOM (Engineering Bill of Materials) and support to sanitize the data.</li><li> Define and create the MBOM (Manufacturing Bill of Materials) with all the required attributes.</li><li> Define and create the BOP (Bill of Process) with the assembly sequences that drive the execution of Operations in respective stations.</li><li> Classify the Resources (Tools and Equipment) and consume them into the defined stations of Plant Structure.</li><li> Assign the Torque Values and creating Visual Images (2D/3D).</li><li> Spearheading activities for the creation of work Instructions for Assembly Operations.</li><li> Initiate, control & Implement the Manufacturing Changes.</li><li> Perform Manufacturing Data Migration from Legacy system to Teamcenter PLM application.</li><li> Identify, Extract, Transform, Load and Validate the Manufacturing data as specified.</li><li> Perform SIT (System Integration Testing) & UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with customer for developed use cases.</li><li> Perform Root Cause Analysis of the identified issues and make necessary changes to the configuration wherever required.</li><li> Proactively help the implementation team in performance tuning of the applications/queries, design effective backup/archival strategies so as to cater to the business requirements.</li><li> Provide post-implementation production support of incremental project delivered.</li><li> Responsible for ensuring all issues are resolved in a timely manner within the agreed Service Levels with clients.<br><br></li></ul>REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering field followed by five (5) years of experience with the manufacturing/assembly process in Automotive, Aerospace and/or Heavy Machinery domains. Experience must include:<br><br><ul><li> 5 years of experience in implementation of Manufacturing/Assembly Process Planning using Teamcenter PLM (Blueprinting, As-Is Analysis/To-Be Definition, Fit Gap Analysis, Manufacturing Bill of Material, Bill of Process, Work Instructions, Accountability check rules).</li><li> 3 years of experience using Business Modeler Integrated Development Environment for tasks such as Operations, extensions, creating conditions, Naming Rules, GRM rules, Complex & Compound properties, business constants, property constants and defining packaging extensions into templates.</li><li> 3 years of experience in configuring PLM modules such as Manufacturing Process Planner, Structure Manager, Report Builder, Workflow Designer, Classification, Organization, Change Management, Product Configurator.</li><li> 2 years of experience with Installation, Configuration, Deployment of PLM applications (Teamcenter), Active Workspace Teamcenter Visualization, Dispatcher and NX CAD software.</li><li> 2 years of experience with Manufacturing Data Migration from Legacy systems to Teamcenter PLM.</li><li> 1 years of experience with the integration of MES with ERP, PLM and shop floor systems.<br><br></li></ul>TELEWORK: May be eligible for f/t or p/t/ telecommuting with authorization from manager and HR<br><br>TRAVEL: Up to 5% domestic travel for short- or long-term client assignments<br><br>BASE SALARY RANGE: $123,157.00 to $145,000.00 per year.
