Marketing & Events Coordinator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Marketing & Events Coordinator to elevate our brand presence through innovative marketing strategies and memorable event experiences. The Development & Marketing Coordinator supports fundraising events, digital marketing, donor communications, social media, website content, and community outreach initiatives. This role combines creativity, organization, event coordination, and relationship-building to help strengthen community awareness and support for AbilityPoint.

Duties

Marketing & Communications

  • Manage social media content and digital outreach campaigns
  • Create electronic newsletters, donor communications, and promotional materials
  • Maintain website updates and marketing content
  • Design graphics, flyers, event materials, and digital promotions
  • Support public relations, storytelling, and community engagement efforts

Event Planning & Outreach

  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising and community events
  • Coordinate event logistics, vendors, sponsorships, registrations, and promotions
  • Support volunteer coordination and community partnerships

Development Support

  • Maintain donor records and fundraising tracking via DonorPerfect and GiveCloud
  • Leads donor acknowledgments, mailings, sponsorship tracking, and campaign support

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience in marketing, communications, nonprofit development, event planning, community outreach, or related fields
  • Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience managing social media platforms for a business or organization
  • Proficiency with Canva, Microsoft Office, WordPress, Constant Contact, and basic digital marketing tools
  • Familiarity with donor databases, CRM systems, or email marketing platforms preferred
  • Experience coordinating events, fundraisers, volunteer activities, or community engagement initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and project coordination skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for local events and outreach activities
  • Passion for AbilityPoint’s mission and serving individuals with disabilities and families

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
