Marketing Intern - Remote

Marketing is at the center of Harbor Freight’s significant and successful brand transformation – helping to shape how customers see, experience and connect with our brand every day. The Marketing department is responsible for bringing the Harbor Freight brand to life across digital and TV advertising, social media, email, text messaging, mobile app, public relations and analytics. From building brand awareness to driving customer engagement and loyalty, the team plays a critical role in fueling the company’s continued growth.

We’re looking for the next generation of great leaders to join our Marketing team and gain hands-on experience learning how a modern, data-driven marketing organization operates. During an 8 week period, interns may be assigned to functional teams such as brand marketing, digital marketing, marketing strategy or creative support to learn day-to-day operations, campaign development, cross-channel execution and overall comprehension of the marketing function at Harbor Freight. This role is remote, with an optional opportunity to visit our Headquarters in Southern California.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • You will be assigned to a team within our Marketing department where you will work side-by-side with marketing professionals to learn what it’s like to be a full-time Harbor Freight Associate.
  • You will be exposed to the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social media, mobile app and other channels that bring our brand to life.
  • You will partner with marketing leaders to help explore key marketing questions — from researching emerging consumer purchasing trends to identifying opportunities to strengthen brand engagement and drive growth.
  • You will work across marketing teams including Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Creative, Strategy and Analytics to expand your business acumen and marketing knowledge through hands-on experience.
  • You will receive continuous coaching and mentorship — we are passionate about our work and will ensure you receive both structured guidance and regular feedback from your manager and team members.
  • You will have the opportunity to present your findings and recommendations to marketing leadership and deliver a comprehensive project recap to Marketing leadership at the conclusion of your internship

The anticipated range for this position is $21.92 – $32.98 per hour depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as early access to pay, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.

Physical Requirements
