General Job Summary
Merchandising Associate is responsible for assisting in the merchandising & setup of store(s) remodel and reset projects. These will be a 6–7-week projects, approximately 7 or 8 full projects per year. Paid training will be provided on site from the Project Leader & Team Leads assigned to the project. Some projects will require travel to out of market stores, while others will be in the home market. When travel is required, you will be reimbursed for mileage.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Project Leader, Project Manager, & Construction Manager to ensure the successful completion and implementation of the project & plans related to the project.
  • Effectively engage and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the entire project life cycle.
  • Work through any lead-time problems, constraints, setbacks, or risks within each project.
  • Ensure that all documents and materials are properly maintained throughout each project.
  • Set fixtures when needed according to the manufacture requirements, including anchoring, aligning and leveling.
  • At times we will order new fixtures to be installed, or we will use skates to relocate existing fixtures to their new homes.
  • Utilizing store layouts provided by ACE planners to bring to life the new design of the sales floor.
  • Using the same plans, you will profile new and updated POGS (planograms) through the store.
  • Once profiled, the new products will come in, be sorted, and worked onto the new sets throughout the store.
  • All needs for new store layouts to be implemented, each store is uniquely different and will offer new challenges and different opportunities due to size and market changes from store to store.

Minimum Skills, Requirements and Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience working in a retail setting preferred
  • Willingness to teach, train and provide support to your team
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with your team, and leadership; keep others informed and take appropriate partnerships where necessary
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage time
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Standing, walking, lifting (50lbs+) and climbing ladders or use of lifts
  • Travel may be required depending on the location of the store

Compensation Details

$45000 to $55000 per year
