Mobile Clinical Nurse (As Needed)

Job Overview

Note: This is an as needed mobile position providing clinical support for our concierge internal medicine practice. Services are performed in patients' homes, workplaces, hotels, and other approved locations.

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mobile Clinical Nurse who is highly proficient in IV placement and phlebotomy. These are the two most important skills for this role. The ideal candidate is confident working independently in the field while maintaining communication with the supervising physician before, during, and after each visit.

Additional clinical procedures and practice workflows will be taught during training.

Duties

  • Travel to patients' homes, workplaces, hotels, and other approved locations to provide mobile clinical services.
  • Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection.
  • Establish peripheral IV access and administer physician ordered IV therapies, including hydration therapy, Myers' Cocktail, NAD+, iron infusions, vitamin infusions, and other prescribed treatments.
  • Administer intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous injections.
  • Obtain and document vital signs.
  • Perform EKGs.
  • Perform point of care testing, including COVID, influenza, and strep testing.
  • Monitor patients during treatments and promptly communicate any concerns or changes in condition to the supervising physician before, during, and after each visit.
  • Accurately document all services performed in the electronic medical record.
  • Prepare, transport, maintain, and restock mobile medical equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and all practice policies and procedures.
  • Deliver a professional, compassionate, concierge level patient experience.
  • Perform other clinical duties within scope of practice as assigned by the supervising physician.

Qualifications

  • Current California nursing license in good standing.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in IV placement and phlebotomy is required.
  • Experience performing peripheral IV therapy, venipuncture, injections, and specimen collection.
  • Ability to work confidently and independently in mobile settings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Professional appearance and exceptional bedside manner.
  • Reliable transportation, a valid California driver's license, and willingness to travel throughout the Los Angeles area.
  • Flexible availability based on patient needs.
  • Experience in concierge medicine, infusion therapy, emergency medicine, urgent care, outpatient infusion, or a similar clinical setting is preferred, but not required.
