Role Summary

Database Administrator responsible for MongoDB and MySQL administration automation performance tuning backuprestore and production support across Dev Test and Production environments

Key Responsibilities

1 MongoDB Administration

Install configure upgrade and maintain MongoDB databases

Monitor performance replication and availability

Manage backup restore logicalphysical and validate recovery procedures

Implement security controls authentication RBAC access

Troubleshoot issues related to performance replication connectivity and storage

Collaborate with application teams for schema design and query optimization

2 MySQL Administration

Install configure and maintain MySQL databases

Execute backup restore and DR operations

Monitor performance capacity and availability

Perform performance tuning indexing query optimization

Manage users privileges and security

Handle patching upgrades and maintenance

3 Backup Restore DR Management

Design and implement backup strategies for MongoDB MySQL

Conduct regular restore testing and DR validation

Maintain documentation for backup restore and DR processes

Support audit and compliance requirements

4 Monitoring Production Support

Monitor database health and proactively resolve issues

Participate in incident management and RCA

Provide oncall production support

Maintain SOPs and operational documentation

5 Automation Scripting

Develop and maintain automation scripts for

Backuprestore operations

Health checks and monitoring

Routine maintenance tasks

Automate database deployment configuration and patching activities

Implement scheduled jobs cronautomation tools for recurring DB tasks

Utilize scripting Shell Python to improve operational efficiency

Contribute to runbook automation and operational standardization

Required Skills Qualifications :

7 years of experience in MongoDB andor MySQL administration

Strong expertise in

Backup restore and DR strategies

Performance tuning and troubleshooting

Handson experience in

Production database support and monitoring

Strong knowledge of

LinuxUnix environments

Experience in automation and scripting ShellPython

Strong problemsolving and communication skills

Preferred Skills :

Experience with MongoDB Atlas AWS RDS cloud DB platforms

Exposure to

High availability replication clustering

DR and failover mechanisms

Knowledge of

Security and compliance practices

Experience with

Automation tools Ansible Jenkins pipelines good to have
Mandatory Skills : Mongo DBA, MySQL DBA
