Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pastry Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the preparation, decoration, and packaging of a variety of baked goods and pastries. Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and baking a variety of pastries, cakes, and baked goods using established recipes and techniques.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, including ganache, cremes, and other decorative elements.
  • Package finished products efficiently while maintaining presentation standards.
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed during food preparation and handling.
  • Support the kitchen team with general food production tasks, including measuring ingredients and maintaining cleanliness.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives, mixers, and ovens.
  • Maintain organized workstations to promote efficiency and safety during busy periods.
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of stock needs.

Experience

  • Previous experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry preparation is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of food industry standards related to food safety and handling is essential.
  • Experience working in a restaurant, catering, or bakery environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with kitchen tools such as knives and baking equipment is required.
  • Culinary experience in food production or food preparation roles will be considered a strong asset.
