Private Equity & Investment Banking Associate / Analyst

MidInfra Capital Partners LLC is a transportation-focused private equity infrastructure investment firm seeking a highly qualified In-House Private Equity & Investment Banking Associate / Analyst to join its growing investment team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to function at the intersection of private equity investing, legal advisory, and financial management . The Associate will support investment execution, fund operations, and legal matters across the firm's platform. The position is well suited for an entrepreneurial professional with 0-3 years of corporate legal or Investment Banking experience and a strong foundation in finance or investment banking/finance who is seeking hands-on exposure within a fast-paced private equity environment.

The Associate will work closely with the CEO/President and senior leadership in a lean, high-performing team, gaining direct exposure to senior executives, investment partners, and counterparties.

Key Responsibilities

Private Equity and Investments

  1. Develop and analyze private equity acquisition models and investment presentations
  2. Support transaction execution, including legal documentation and negotiations
  3. Participate in private equity due diligence, collaborating with portfolio company executives and external advisors


Investment banking/finance, Investor Reporting, Fund Management, and Compliance
  1. Prepare and review investor reports, providing clear and concise updates on fund performance
  2. Coordinate with external auditors and accounting firms to review or prepare financial statements
  3. Maintain compliance documentation and oversee fund administration processes
  4. Manage capital flows, fund expenses, and supporting documentation in coordination with third-party fund administrators and internal stakeholders


Required Experience, Education, and Skills
  1. Required: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to the bar
  2. Required: 0-3 years of corporate legal/Investment Banking experience
  3. Required: MS in Finance, MBA, CPA (or equivalent), with 0-3 years of experience in finance or law, investment banking/finance or business management
  4. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills
  5. Solid understanding of corporate finance, investment banking/finance, and general business operations
  6. Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable financial and legal analysis


Compensation
  1. Base Salary: $150,000, plus discretionary bonus (equity and cash)
  2. Total compensation may vary based on experience, tenure, market conditions, prior performance, and familiarity with the rail and transportation sector
