Project Manager (Construction)

Job Summary

Lead project planning, execution, budgeting, scheduling, team coordination, and successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project execution from planning stage until project completion.
  • Develop project schedules, work plans, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, cost, and timeline performance.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
  • Ensure all project activities comply with drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and safety regulations.
  • Identify project risks, issues, delays, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage project budget, cost control, variation orders (VO), and project claims.
  • Review and approve project reports, progress claims, procurement plans, and site documentation.
  • Conduct project meetings and provide regular updates to management and clients.
  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with relevant industry standards.
  • Support contract administration and project handover processes.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of working experience in construction or project management.
  • Strong knowledge in project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project scheduling software, and reporting tools.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects.

Added Advantage

  • Experience in high-rise, infrastructure, industrial, or M&E projects.
  • Familiar with construction standards and contract forms such as PAM, JKR, FIDIC, and Construction Industry Development Board requirements.
  • Certification such as PMP or equivalent project management credentials is an added advantage.
