Caterpillar is hiring a Rental Technology Product Marketing Consultant to shape the future of rental fleet technology—driving global strategy and adoption of machine control, payload, safety, and efficiency solutions alongside Caterpillar dealers and field teams. In this high-impact role, you’ll partner with Product Groups and Technology leaders to influence go-to-market strategy and NPI, turning customer insights into solutions that solve real-world challenges and deliver measurable value. Role Summary: The Rental Technology Product Marketing Consultant leads technology strategy and application support for the global rental field team and Caterpillar dealers, driving successful deployment and adoption of machine control, payload, safety, and efficiency solutions across rental fleets. This role partners with Product Groups and Technology teams to shape go-to-market strategies, deliver Voice of Rental and Voice of Customer (VOC) insights, and influence New Product Introduction (NPI) activities—including product configuration, subscription models, and competitive positioning—to ensure solutions effectively address customer challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the SME for Caterpillar technologies to rental fleet (ie -machine control, payload, safety, connectivity)
  • Drive go-to-market strategy with Product Groups and Digital teams to deliver data-driven customer outcomes
  • Lead adoption and integration of connected technologies across rental fleets
  • Represent rental customer needs and influence product, NPI, and commercial direction
  • Identify pain points and deliver scalable, high-impact solutions across regions
  • Enable dealer teams through coaching and training on technology value and ROI
  • Track adoption and performance to optimize fleet productivity and outcomes
  • Identify and scale new technology-enabled growth opportunities globally
