Your Opportunity, Your Team Reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Accounting and Financial Reporting, you are responsible for QVC's external financial reporting function. You will develop accounting procedures, such as development of main disclosures, following US GAAP and SEC Regulations. You will prepare and/or review multiple SOX controls, ensuring you design them to be effective and suggest changes if applicable. You will have integration points with the Accounting team, Business Planning and Analysis, Internal Controls group, Investor Relations team, the People team and the external audit firm personnel. This leadership position will also oversee the review and oversight of work performed by a direct report and team members on the Accounting team. Where You'll Work This role is hybrid and will require you to be onsite at West Chester, PA several days per month (onsite days are predetermined and standard across the company). Job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: NJ, PA, DE. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. What You'll Do Responsible for our external financial reporting function including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and other required SEC filings. Provide input and assistance with certain materials developed by the Investor Relations Team. Review work performed by a direct report and members of the Accounting team who support the financing reporting process; develop direct report by managing performance, setting goals and providing ongoing training. Lead key meeting associated with 10k, 10qs, with executives across QVC Global. Perform research and provide US GAAP application for all business transactions. Provide guidance to international markets on accounting matters to ensure compliance with US GAAP reporting. Help with the monthly general ledger close and consolidation procedures. Review key account reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, currency translation currency revaluation, and identify issues effecting financial results. Development and execution of SOX controls Build and maintain a collaborative relationship with External and Internal Auditors; responsible for the preparation of the company's 401K financial statements; and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • CPA required.
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 6+ years hands on experience leading external financial reporting.
  • 6+ years experience resolving complex accounting issues related to GAAP compliance.
  • 6+ years experience maintaining SOX compliance over financial reporting.
  • 6+ years experience documenting processes and ensuring continuous improvement.
