Senior Analytics Engineer

<p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p> <p>The <strong>Senior Analytics Engineer I </strong>will help establish best analytical practices across the GOAT Group organization. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of data modeling and core software engineering principles in addition to technical SQL skills. Additionally, candidates will have a curiosity for the business and ability to expand their knowledge through learning and implementation of new analytics engineering technologies.</p> <p><strong>In this role, you will:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Build upon and scale our current data infrastructure (Snowflake, dbt, Mode/Metabase) to meet evolving business needs and capture critical business logic.</li> <li>Work closely with the Senior Analytics Engineering Manager to create and improve data models, data orchestrations, dbt version updates, and development environments.</li> <li>Contribute expertise and promote best analytics engineering practices in the organization through collaboration with other data teams and stakeholders.</li> <li>Establish data quality and governance across all business units including, but not limited to, Finance, Accounting Operations, Product, and Engineering</li> </ul> <p><strong>We are looking for: </strong></p> <ul> <li>3-5+ years in an Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence Engineering role</li> <li>Strong SQL skills with knowledge of window functions, performance tuning, optimization, and legibility</li> <li>Experience using dbt CLI/Cloud or other data modeling tools (Stitch, Coalesce, etc.) </li> <li>Proficient in using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and collaborative development best practices</li> <li>Experience with scheduling and orchestration tools (GitHub Actions, Airflow, etc.)</li> <li>Familiarity with event tracking analytics and clickstream data (mParticle, Snowplow, etc.)</li> <li>Comfortable with Python/R for advanced ETL/ELT procedures</li> <li>Ability to communicate effectively with and prioritize requests from both technical and non-technical stakeholders</li> </ul> <table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" data-sheets-root="1" data-sheets-baot="1"> <tbody> <tr> <td>GOAT Group uses geographic pay tiers based on the employee’s home state to align compensation with market differences across the U.S.<br><br>Hiring Range:<br>Tier 1 (Includes states such as California, New York (including New York City), Washington, Illinois and other higher-cost markets)<br>$104,200 - $130,200 USD<br><br>Tier 2 - (Includes mid-cost markets across the U.S.)<br>$93,800 - $117,200 USD<br><br>Tier 3 - (All other U.S. locations)<br>$88,700 - $110,800 USD</td> </tr> </tbody> </table><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">The hiring range for this position is below, plus benefits (401K, paid time off, dental, medical, vision, disability, life insurance options).
