In this role, you will combine strong analytical skills with sound professional judgment to assess financial damages, support investigations, and deliver clear, defensible findings to clients and stakeholders.<br><br>Working closely with insurance adjusters, legal counsel, and internal teams, you will play a key role in managing files end-to-end—analyzing financial information, preparing reports, and contributing to high-quality client service. This is an opportunity to build deep expertise in forensic accounting while developing strong client relationships in a collaborative and innovative environment.<br><br><strong>What You Will Do<br><br></strong><ul><li>Manage and deliver forensic accounting engagements focused on the quantification of insurance claims, primarily related to motor vehicle accidents</li><li>Gather, analyze, and interpret financial information to assess damages and support investigative work</li><li>Collaborate with insurance adjusters, claimants, internal teams, and legal counsel to address file-specific issues and communicate findings clearly</li><li>Prepare high-quality reports, schedules, and supporting documentation in a clear, concise manner in accordance with generally accepted accounting standards</li><li>Build and maintain strong client relationships, with accountability for key operational aspects of engagements and delivery of exceptional service</li><li>Foster collaboration across KPMG by developing relationships with colleagues and contributing to the growth of both existing and prospective client relationships<br><br></li></ul><strong>What You Bring To The Role<br><br></strong><ul><li>Accounting degree required. </li><li>CFE designation an asset</li><li>2+ years of experience in forensic accounting, with an emphasis on insurance claim loss quantification (accident benefits); candidates without this experience, but with public accounting and personal/corporate tax experience will also be considered</li><li>Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)</li><li>Eagerness to utilize digital tools and strategies to drive an innovative workplace</li><li>Ability to write reports and communicate ideas effectively in writing</li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Ability to establish relationships with staff and clients</li><li>Detail oriented, excellent organizational skills</li><li>Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands and multiple tasks as required<br><br></li></ul><strong>KPMG Ontario Region Pay Range Information<br><br></strong>The expected base salary range for this position is $68,500-$97,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant’s base salary within this range is based on the individual’s location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
