CoreX Web Foundation focuses on the modernization, performance, observability and reliability of three of Yelp’s most important pages: the homepage, the search page, and the biz details page. You will have the opportunity to work on various services, packages, and tools which impact many people. We are looking for a full stack engineer who is keen to drive positive change and work with various teams to turn large, ambitious ideas into reality. What you\\\'ll do: Contribute to a clear technical vision for improvements in performance, observability and reliability on Yelp’s core pages. Lead large migrations and tackle tech debt. Deploy changes in a services oriented architecture. Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and teams across the company to design and implement reliable, scalable systems. Dive into experimentation data to identify issues and address customer needs, iterating on code as necessary. Mentor fellow engineers and share your knowledge to help grow the org’s full-stack expertise and domain knowledge. What it takes to succeed: Ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders to execute on high impact technical projects. Relevant experience in at least one server-side programming language, preferably Python. Relevant experience with Javascript / Typescript. Familiarity with popular server-side web frameworks (Django, Flask, etc.) or modern JS frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, etc.). Keen interest in tackling scalability, reliability, and performance challenges. Comfortable working in a Unix Environment.
