You'll design data modeling processes, develop algorithms, and create predictive models while offering insights that drive informed business decisions.</p> <p><b>ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:</b></p> <ul> <li><p>Develop, prototype, and deploy machine learning models in production settings.</p></li> <li><p>Work closely with product, technology, and other teams to identify and define data science project scopes.</p></li> <li><p>Effectively communicate modeling challenges, findings, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences.</p></li> <li><p>Design and implement comprehensive ETL (extract, transform, load) data pipelines that integrate data from diverse sources.</p></li> <li><p>Investigate new internal and external data sources, evaluating their potential business impact.</p></li> <li><p>Mentor team members and serve as a subject matter expert during cross-functional discussions.</p></li> </ul> <p><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b></p> <p>A Master's degree or Ph.D. in statistics, mathematics, computer science, data science, economics, or a related quantitative field is preferred.</p> <p>You should possess at least ten (10) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, which includes three (3) years of hands-on experience with predictive modeling, data science, and data analysis. A solid background in data visualization tools, data exploration, data wrangling, and feature engineering is essential. Experience in natural language processing and healthcare data is preferred.</p> <p><b>Skills & Knowledge:</b></p> <ul> <li><p>Proficient in writing code in Python or R, ensuring comprehensive documentation for reproducibility.</p></li> <li><p>Strong ability to review models and code created by others.</p></li> <li><p>Familiarity with data visualization tools and libraries.</p></li> <li><p>Expertise in data exploration, data wrangling, and feature engineering.</p></li> <li><p>Knowledge of both supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.</p></li> <li><p>Thorough understanding of SQL for querying relational databases.</p></li> <li><p>Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.</p></li> <li><p>Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC skills.</p></li> <li><p>Analytical and interpretive problem-solving skills.</p></li> <li><p>Strong organizational skills and the ability to create thorough, accurate, and constructive reports.</p></li> <li><p>Capable of working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.</p></li> <li><p>Dedicated to meeting or exceeding performance competencies.</p></li> </ul> <p>As required by law, we offer a competitive compensation range for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions with pay transparency regulations. Your actual compensation will be influenced by many factors, including skills, experience, and geographic location. For this position, the starting salary range is $120,000 - $160,000 USD annually.
