In this role, the Senior Network Administrator will support all network capabilities across all supported environments/enclaves.</span></p> <p><br></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: bold">Major Activities</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Design, install, integrate, sustain, patch, recover, and manage the lifecycle of network devices across all supported environments and sites.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Plan, coordinate, execute, troubleshoot, and document change requests, as well as both monthly and out-of-cycle ASI events, to perform moves, adds, and changes to network services and technologies, and apply and validate cyber security patches are installed on managed assets.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Coordinate with external agencies for Production and COOP sites for network configuration of the circuits and VPN on both the NIPR and SIPR.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">PPS (Ports, Protocols, and Services) development and maintenance for both Production and COOP environments.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Establish networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades; collaborating with network architects on network optimization.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Report network operational status by gathering/prioritizing information; managing projects.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies, defining, and monitoring access.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Collaborate with Technical Director, Sr. System Engineer, Operations Manager and Development Team on Network requirements, security changes and documentation.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Maintain IT system patching schedules.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Analyze and remediate Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) findings.</span></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-weight: bold">Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Advanced knowledge of networking and infrastructure including RSN (Recruiting Services Network), LAN, DNS, proxy servers, network design/implementation, troubleshooting, hardware configuration, performance tuning, VLANs, MAC addressing, routing (OSPF,BGP) and Cisco technologies (firewalls, switches, routers, ISA/TACACS.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Advanced knowledge of operations and systems including COOP services, system backup, high availability, enterprise Linux, enterprise storage, network based applications (Wireshark, SolarWinds) and operating system environments.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Advanced knowledge of standards, frameworks and security practices including STIGS, IAVAs, DoD security standards, Agile, ITIL, IEEE, NIST, CMMI, PMBOK and configuration/organizational software management.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Ability to work with system/network engineers to engage in joint project planning.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Ability to configure TCP/IP, network interfaces and IP security.</span></li> <li><span style="color: rgb(0, 0, 0)">Good interpersonal skills: ability to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staff, affiliated-company employees as well as outside business associates;
