Senior Software Engineer

<p>The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team builds and operates massive-scale, integrated cloud services in a distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to help us build high-performance API services that secure and protect API traffic at OCI.</p><p>As an ideal candidate, you will have knowledge of large-scale services in a distributed cloud environment. In addition, you will have an understanding of Linux fundamentals and will combine this knowledge with your hands-on experience in software development. You will champion creating an engineering environment that embodies the best development and testing practices for delivering secure, scalable, and highly available services. Our engineers have a significant technical and business impact by designing and building innovative new systems to power our customers' business-critical applications.</p><p> </p><p>Qualifications</p><p>4+ years of experience in the software industry working on architecture, system and software design, development and delivery of highly scalable products and services.<br>Bachelor's degree or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent education.<br>In-depth understanding of the entire product development lifecycle including writing technical specification, assisting to make product impacting decisions, designing world-class services, developing and reviewing code, driving DevOps, leading releases and operations.<br>Ability to identify opportunities for innovation, aim to be on top of tech-debt, plan for continuous improvements in technology and operations and maintain a solid security posture.<br>Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.<br>Comfort with complex, rapidly evolving software development environments.
