Service & Maintenance Engineer

A well-established London-based specialist in fire, security and communal systems is looking to add an experienced Service & Maintenance Engineer to its growing field engineering team. This is a mobile role covering London and surrounding suburbs, working across domestic and commercial environments.


As a Service & Maintenance Engineer, you will take ownership of planned and reactive maintenance visits, fault finding and minor remedial works across a mix of fire alarms, CCTV, access control and integrated electronic systems. The Service & Maintenance Engineer role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, takes pride in quality workmanship and is confident dealing directly with end clients.


What the Service & Maintenance Engineer will be doing

  • Delivering compliant maintenance and servicing on fire and security systems
  • Attending reactive call-outs and carrying out small repair works
  • Completing on-site asset records and service documentation
  • Managing your daily schedule and workload efficiently
  • Providing clear updates to the service office each day
  • Representing the business professionally when working with customers

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience as a Service & Maintenance Engineer within fire and/or security systems
  • Solid understanding of relevant British Standards
  • Recognised industry qualifications (NSI, LPCB, City & Guilds or similar)
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites
  • CCTV and access control experience essential (Entrotec knowledge advantageous)
  • Clean record with the ability to pass DBS/security screening
