Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SharePoint Architect – Advanced Administrator to design, implement, administer, and optimize enterprise SharePoint environments. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in SharePoint Online, SharePoint Server, Microsoft 365, governance, security, migration, architecture, and advanced administration. This role requires strong technical leadership, the ability to design scalable collaboration platforms, and experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft ecosystem services.

Key Responsibilities

SharePoint Architecture

  • Design and implement enterprise SharePoint architecture for on-premises and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Develop scalable, secure, and highly available SharePoint solutions.
  • Define architecture standards, governance policies, and best practices.
  • Design information architecture including sites, hubs, libraries, lists, and metadata.
  • Create disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.

SharePoint Administration

  • Administer SharePoint Online and SharePoint Server environments.
  • Configure site collections, web applications, managed services, and service applications.
  • Perform installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Monitor platform health, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot complex SharePoint infrastructure issues.

Microsoft 365 Administration

  • Manage SharePoint Online administration through Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  • Configure OneDrive for Business and Teams integration.
  • Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) integration.
  • Configure Microsoft Purview compliance and retention policies.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 security settings.

Governance & Security

  • Develop SharePoint governance frameworks.
  • Implement permission models and role-based access control.
  • Configure authentication methods including SSO and MFA.
  • Implement DLP, retention, and compliance policies.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational security standards.

Migration & Modernization

  • Lead SharePoint migration projects from legacy versions to SharePoint Online.
  • Utilize migration tools such as ShareGate and Microsoft SharePoint Migration Tool (SPMT).
  • Modernize classic SharePoint sites to the modern experience.
  • Perform migration planning, execution, and validation.

Performance Optimization

  • Monitor SharePoint performance and system health.
  • Optimize search indexing and crawl performance.
  • Improve page load times and storage management.
  • Resolve performance bottlenecks.

Integration

  • Integrate SharePoint with:

  • Support third-party integrations where required.

  • Create architecture diagrams and technical documentation.
