This role oversees shipping processes, documentation and coordination with internal teams, freight forwarders and RTX Global Trade. The position ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, maintains accurate shipping records, and supports audits while monitoring logistics metrics to improve operational performance. Additionally, the Sr. Logistics Specialist reviews shipment data and classification processes to resolve discrepancies and ensure readiness prior to shipment.</p> <p><br></p> <p><span>Title:<span style="font-weight: bold"> Sr. Logistics Specialist</span><br></span></p> <p><span>Position Type: Full Time</span></p> <p><span>Pay Range: $90,000 - $150,000</span></p> <p><span>(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)</span></p> <p>Fully remote </p> <p><br></p> <p><span>Benefits:</span></p> <ul> <li>Employer sponsored health, dental, and vision benefits effective the first of the month following hire date</li> <li><span>Life insurance</span></li> <li><span>401k (matching 4% with a minimum 5% contribution)</span></li> <li><span>Generous PTO (3 weeks of vacation + 3 floating holidays, 2 weeks of sick time, 7 paid holidays throughout the year) and parental leave</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt">Job Responsibilities:</span></p> <ul> <li>Pre-Ship Review (PSR) of systematic and contractual readiness of shipment and coordinating onsite efforts upon confirmation</li> <li>Prepare and review export documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance (ISR, POV, DT and AWB accuracy)</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Coordinate & schedule domestic and international freight movements, including air, LTL and White Glove services</li> <li>Acquiring quotes from various freight forwarders analyze and route for approval. Recommend the most cost-effective means of transport, coordinating and communicating with PMs for approval as required. Including purchasing insurance guidelines as a part of the quoting process</li> <li>Review contracts and shipment-related information in SAP to ensure accuracy and work with appropriate stakeholders to resolve discrepancies</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Ensure all required shipping and compliance training remains current and up to date for team members (Packaging training, HAZMAT Certification requirements, DOT training etc.)</li> <li>Support internal and external audits related to logistics and Global Trade compliance</li> <li>Maintain complete and accurate records of shipping documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements</li> <li>Manage logistics data, reporting, and metrics to track performance and identify opportunities for operational improvement</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Lead and direct the accuracy of all HAZMAT shipments, ensuring proper classification, packaging, labeling, and documentation coordinating with onsite team members</li> <li>Maintain shipping processes, documentation and coordination with internal teams, freight forwarders, and Global Trade</li> <li>Ensure hardware has gone through both the JCA/HTS process and resolve discrepancies to reduce or eliminate delays when hardware is ready to ship</li> <li>Negotiate rates with new and existing carriers</li> <li>Other responsibilities as assigned</li> <li>May include personnel management responsibilities</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt">Required Qualifications/Education:</span></p> <ul> <li>13+ years of shipping experience required</li> <li>3+ International shipping experience required</li> <li>High school diploma or equivalency</li> <li>The ability to interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team</li> <li>Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail</li> <li>Strong reading, speaking, and writing skills</li> <li>Strong organizational and scheduling skills</li> <li>Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education</li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
