Responsibilities

  • Implement Deep Sea Explorer lesson plans already created
  • Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation, respect, and collaboration among students.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies.
  • Support diverse learning needs by applying special education techniques and working with students with autism or other learning differences.
  • Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance educational experiences and facilitate interactive lessons.
  • Mentor and guide students individually or in small groups to boost confidence and academic skills through tutoring and targeted interventions.
  • Lead activities that promote physical health, social skills, and emotional well-being, including outdoor play and group projects.
Qualifications
  • Proven classroom experience working with children in elementary or early childhood education settings.
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and instructional best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and team members.
  • Ability to manage a classroom confidently while maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with autism or in special education settings is a plus.
  • VPK credentials a plus!
