Job Description

Role Name - Tableau Administrator

Location- - Stamford, CT/Remote

 

ROLE_DESCRIPTION -

Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server.

• Perform server maintenance tasks, such as backups, restores, and updates.

• Monitor server performance and usage.

• Manage server topology and settings.

• Create and manage Tableau users and groups.

• Assign permissions and roles.

• Manage and organize site content through projects.

• Manage and maintain data sources connected to Tableau Server.

• Ensure data integrity and security.

• Diagnose and resolve issues related to data, dashboards, and reports.

• Provide technical support to Tableau users.

• Publish, organize, and manage Tableau content on the server.

• Ensure content is accessible and secure.

• Create technical designs, test cases, and user guides.

• Maintain and enhance existing Tableau dashboards and reports.

• On Tableau Desktop, create workbooks and hyper extracts.

• Responsible for the operation of the server application.

• Responsible for site(s), permissions, content, and users, when sites are used.

• Monitors overall server health including server usage patterns, process status (up/down/failover), job status (success/failure), disk drive space and stale content.

• Monitor license provisioning, usage patterns, Tableau Bridge activity, job status (success/failure), space usage and stale content.

• Familiar with Tableau Cloud.
