About the Job

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Team Manager to lead our technical operations across our Melaka and Kuala Lumpur hubs. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between high-level business strategy and technical execution, managing a diverse group of systems support engineers, change management specialists, and global support teams.

You will be responsible for fostering a collaborative environment, driving professional growth, and ensuring our enterprise-level systems and infrastructure projects are delivered with excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & People Management
  • Team Leadership: Manage and supervise systems support, change management, and global support teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous professional development.
  • Performance Oversight: Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear individual goals, and provide actionable feedback to drive team success.
  • Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with HR to lead recruitment and replacement processes for new technical talent.
  • Training & Development: Design and implement comprehensive training programs and materials to keep the team at the forefront of industry standards.
Operational Excellence
  • Customer Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing periodic updates on service status and long-term project planning.
  • Resource Allocation: Manage the Global Support on-call schedules (regular and ad-hoc), ensuring seamless 24/7 support coverage and accurate allowance submissions to HR.
  • Financial Coordination: Partner with Finance to manage service contracts, device lifecycles, and purchase requisitions.
  • Project Delivery: Oversee Man-day estimations, invoicing for Change Management projects, and the implementation of enterprise-level system integrations (messaging, file transfers, and event-based handling).
Technical Infrastructure
  • System Maintenance: Design and maintain enterprise-level systems to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
  • Process Improvement: Implement tools such as JIRA Service Management to streamline operations and facilitate efficient knowledge sharing.
  • Project Management: Lead IT infrastructure projects from initial requirements gathering through to final execution and delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of work experience in a related leadership or systems management role.
  • Language Proficiency: Must be a Mandarin speaker to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members.
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience in system integration, Enterprise Integration Patterns, and managing server platforms/databases.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and problem-solving abilities with a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel between our Melaka (Taman Merdeka/Maju Jaya) HQ and Bukit Jalil (KL) office on a weekly basis.
Additional Information
  • Base Location: Melaka (Preferred) / Bukit Jalil, KL.
  • Remuneration: RM 6,000 – RM 10,000 (Based on experience).
  • Allowances: Fully claimable travel costs for KL-Melaka commutes, including meals, parking, and toll allowances .
