Brief Overview We are searching for a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Level Technical Advisor to the Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO). The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, product and business acumen, and exceptional strategic thinking to provide innovative solutions to complex technical challenges. This person will work closely with the CPTO and other senior leaders to drive technology initiatives and ensure that our company remains at the forefront of the industry. Core Responsibilities - Strategic Technical Guidance: - Provide expert technical advice to the CPTO on technology and product development strategies. - Assist in the formulation and execution of the company's roadmap. - Ensure robust architecture and design principles are adhered to, supporting scalability, reliability, and performance. - Innovation and Trends Monitoring: - Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive advancements, and regulatory changes to advise on necessary adjustments and innovations. - Evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the company’s products and services. - Technical Due Diligence: - Conduct technical due diligence on potential acquisitions, partnerships, and vendor selections. - Advise on risk management and mitigation strategies related to technology. - RapidPrototyping and Partnerships: - Develop proofs of concept (POCs) for new product and technology initiatives, to speed up innovation and decision making. - Collaborate with internal teams and technology partners and vendors to determine the right technical partnerships. - Client and Partner Interaction:- Represent Amwell with clients and partners. Provide guidance on both product and technology, drive collaboration. - Support the CPTO in executive and strategic client and partner discussions.Present the Amwell capabilities and differentiation. - Stakeholder Collaboration: - Work closely with senior leadership to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions with business goals. - Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Performance Optimization: - Evaluate the performance of existing technology systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and security. - Develop and implement strategies for continuous improvement in technical operations. Qualifications - 10+ years of progressive demonstrated technical experience in product management, software engineering, technical leadership, and architecture roles. Experience in both product/strategy and engineering/architecture is a must. - Proven track record of influencing and advising at the executive level. - Strong strategic thinking across both business and technology. - Understanding of market dynamics and competition to drive differentiation and innovation. - Hands on experience in product and/or engineering roles in last five years. Ability to “get hands dirty” in building POCs or delivering products. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. - Maturity and poise to represent the organization in front of executives, clients and partners. - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required; Master’s in technology or MBA preferred Do Well. The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role. Some roles may be commission based, in which case the total compensation will be based on a commission and the above range may not be an accurate representation of total compensation.
